ABOUT THE ARTIST
Laura Edwards is a contemporary abstract painter from St. Albert, Alberta, Canada. Through her ever-evolving work, Laura explores colour, movement, seasonal cycles and esoteric concepts.
Laura’s materials are a conscious and cherished part of her artistry; she uses natural earth pigments and plant-based paint mediums to create archival works and incorporate earth-friendly, non-toxic studio practices into her process. Pigment granules in her hand-mixed paint add subtle texture and organic richness to her work as her pieces invite the viewer to indulge in a colourful experience of thought, spontaneity and sensation.
